South Korea's Mirae Asset Securities plans to launch first tokenized financial products in Q1 2027

Oct 19, 14:08

On October 19, citing Digital Asset, South Korea's Mirae Asset Securities is moving forward with launching its first tokenized financial products in the first quarter of 2027, initially focusing on private money market funds (MMFs) and private bonds for institutional investors. Tokenization technology represents the rights of traditional financial products in the form of blockchain-based digital tokens, allowing ownership and transaction records to be registered and managed on-chain. The private MMFs to be tokenized mainly invest in short-term financial instruments and raise funds only from specific investors; private bonds are likewise issued to specific investors. The company stated that the specific launch timing, final product mix, and the issuance and distribution structure of the tokens have not yet been determined.
