October 21 — Within the coming weeks, OpenAI will offer its frontier AI models and its Codex coding agent service through Google Cloud, a move that deepens cooperation between the two rivals and underscores how major cloud providers are becoming key distribution channels for top-tier AI models. According to a corporate blog announcement, the partnership will bring OpenAI's latest models, including GPT‑6 Astra, to Google Cloud's Model Garden. Customers will be able to purchase these models on Google Cloud Marketplace and settle payments using their existing cloud procurement credits. OpenAI is using this to promote its models to more enterprise customers.
