Tether's Mining Development Kit (MDK) Gains Support From 15 Organizations Including Bitmain and Canaan

October 24: Tether announced that 15 Bitcoin mining companies, ASIC manufacturers and mining pools have committed to building and maintaining integrations for its open-source Mining Development Kit (MDK). Participants include Bitmain, Canaan, MicroBT, F2Pool, Foundry Digital, Luxor and Bitdeer.

Each participant will develop MDK Workers that convert its own hardware, mining pool or system interfaces into a unified standard. This way, developers and AI agents can manage mining facilities across vendors.

Tether's QVAC mining agent already runs on MDK. MDK released version 0.11 at the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano and plans to ship a stable 1.0 release before the end of 2026.
