Bitwise Raises Bitcoin 10-Year Target Price to $1.6 Million
October 28: Bitwise released its "2027 Bitcoin Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions" report, raising its 10-year Bitcoin target price from $1.3 million to $1.6 million (for 2036), corresponding to a compound annual growth rate of 34.3%, while expected annualized returns for US equities and private equity over the same period are 6.7% and 10.8%, respectively. Bitwise expects that over the next decade institutions will allocate 1% to 5% of their assets to Bitcoin, corresponding to $1.5 trillion to $7 trillion in demand. The report also notes that Bitcoin drew down about 50% from its October 2025 high to its June 2026 low, smaller than the 86%, 84% and 77% drawdowns of previous cycles. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said, "We are more bullish on Bitcoin now than we were last year."
