NFT Project Robin Guards Accuses 100+ Crypto KOLs of Faking Engagement, With 10M Followers Yielding Only 200 Sales
Nov 3, 17:26
November 3 — According to a post by Robin Guards on X, the team recruited 200 Crypto Twitter KOLs to promote its NFT project. These accounts have a combined following of over 10 million, yet the project ultimately sold only 200 NFTs, a conversion rate of about 0.002%. The project team said that after it declined to continue paying, some KOLs turned around and called it a scam. Robin Guards publicly named more than 100 partner KOLs, accusing them of buying fake followers and engagement, using engagement pods to inflate metrics, and employing AI-generated replies. The team also claimed that @grebby, who was the first to accuse it of fraud, sells fake followers and engagement services himself, with clients including several of the named KOLs.
