Anthropic prohibits abusive behavior toward Claude.

Oct 9, 04:38

On October 9, according to Jinshi Data, Anthropic recently updated the usage policy for its AI model Claude, focusing on preventing misuse risks in areas such as election interference, weapons development, and medical and financial sectors. The core change in this update explicitly prohibits users from subjecting Claude to "persistent and unnecessary cruel or abusive behavior."

Anthropic stated that the regulation applies only to extreme cases where users repeatedly commit cruel acts without a clear purpose, and does not cover scenarios like daily complaints, rebuttals, or model testing. The company emphasized that terminating anomalous conversations remains the primary enforcement mechanism currently in place, and it has not yet commented on whether further measures, such as bans, will be taken against violating users.
