The second meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Dialogue Mechanism was held in Beijing.
On October 10, according to Jinshi Data, from October 8 to 9, China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and European Commission Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maros Sefcovic co-chaired the second regular meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism in Beijing.
A senior official from the Department of Europe at the Ministry of Commerce stated that both sides agreed to further leverage the export control dialogue mechanism, strengthen policy coordination to maintain the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains. Regarding compliant trade in dual-use items, both sides discussed the possibility of introducing mutual facilitation measures, with the European side stating it would consider taking facilitation measures for China.
In addition, both sides reiterated their commitment to addressing each other's concerns in the field of export controls, with the European side stating it will continue to push for progress in resolving key licensing cases regarding dual-use items concerning China. The two sides also agreed to strengthen communication on sanctions delisting issues and support the substantive initiation of a reciprocal delisting process under their respective legal frameworks.
