Google to Launch MPC Encrypted Custody System

Oct 28, 19:19

On Oct. 28, according to CoinDesk, Google will release its Google Multi-Party Compute (MPC) security service at the inaugural digital assets conference in New York on Wednesday, helping financial institutions such as banks store and transfer cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets. The product is currently in private preview, with multiple financial institutions testing it, and parent company Alphabet has already used it to protect its own digital assets on Ethereum and Solana. It is slated for commercial launch in early 2027, with pricing yet to be disclosed. The system splits private keys into multiple shards distributed across different systems, requires transaction signatures to be verified against institution-predefined rules, and supports ECDSA and Ed25519 algorithms.
