Mantle Releases MIP-35 Proposal, Drafts Core Budget for Fourth Budget Cycle

Oct 28, 20:13

On October 28, according to a tweet from Mantle official (@Mantle_Official) on X, the Mantle core contributors team has published the MIP-35 proposal on the Mantle forum, which is currently in the discussion phase. The proposal outlines the core budget for July 2026 to June 2027 (the fourth budget cycle), setting a total cap of 40 million USDx tokens and 150 million MNT tokens, covering expenses such as personnel, administrative and general overhead costs, marketing and distribution, ecosystem projects, infrastructure, and security.

Fundraising and treasury management strategies, liquidity provision and investment, and gas fees are excluded from the budget scope. The budget automatically renews every 12 months. If a renewal is vetoed, the existing budget and caps will be extended proportionally for up to 3 months, solely for proposing and approving subsequent budget proposals. $MNT holders must complete their delegation before the proposal enters the voting phase.
