Mantle Proposes Cutting Fourth-Cycle Core Budget Cap to 40 Million USDx and 150 Million MNT

Oct. 28 — According to Mantle's official governance forum, the core contributor team has published discussion proposal MIP-35, which would set the core budget cap for July 2026 to June 2027 at 40 million units of USDx and 150 million MNT, below the previous cycle's 52 million units of USDx and 200 million MNT. The budget covers personnel, administration, marketing, ecosystem, and infrastructure and security; financing, treasury strategy, liquidity provision and investments are not counted toward these limits. Actual or projected spending exceeding a category or total cap would still require separate discussion and a vote. The proposal remains at the discussion stage.
