U.S. Stocks Close Higher, Dow Sets New Closing Record, Nasdaq Surges Over 2%

August 4th, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, the US stock market closed higher on Monday, with the Dow rising by 1.3%, setting a new closing high; the S&P 500 Index rose by 1.48%, and the Nasdaq rose by 2.1%.

On the individual stock side, Microsoft (MSFT) and Google (GOOG) surged by nearly 5%, Tesla (TSLA) and Nvidia (NVDA) rose by about 3%, while Meta (META) jumped by 6%. SanDisk (SNDK) rose by 6%, and SK Hynix (SKHY) fell by 0.7%.
