Harmony: Rollback is currently the most supported course of action, and the team is still devising a specific plan of action

Aug 12, 18:42

August 12th, Harmony announced that the team has traced 409 wallets receiving fraudulent minted tokens, involving a total of 10,288 transactions. The team has also reported hundreds of suspicious deposit transactions to exchange partners. The related exchanges promptly blocked the hacker's wallets.

Only 4 hours after the emergency patch was released, 53% of validators have already completed the upgrade. The team is actively working on deploying the patch and addressing the incident's aftermath. For the follow-up plan, a rollback seems to be the most supported solution at the moment. The team is still formulating a specific action plan and is expected to release more details within a few hours.
