Ledger CEO hits back at former Mt. Gox CEO: You're no white knight, stick to facts instead of speculation
On October 18, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier responded to former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès' warning about hardware implant security risks, questioning his stance, and said Ledger has always done its utmost to protect users.
Pascal Gauthier said the relevant security work is extremely challenging, acknowledged Karpelès' attention to the matter, but demanded that he speak based on known facts and avoid speculation, while also mocking him: "Come on, you're no white knight, be realistic."
Earlier, Mark Karpelès accused Ledger of potentially avoiding losses of more than $90 million if it had disclosed the relevant issues in a more timely and effective manner, rather than merely publishing an inconspicuous article on Ledger Academy. He also questioned why Ledger had not remained sufficiently vigilant against advanced implant devices being mass-produced.
