TradingView Premium "Cracked Version" Promoted by an X Account Suspected to Be Info-Stealing Malware
Nov. 8 — The X account @cryptotrice has repeatedly promoted a so-called "reverse-engineered cracked version of TradingView Premium" since mid-October, with some of the tweets drawing more than 300,000 views. The software requires downloading a password-protected archive and generating a license code with a KeyGen in order to install. The account claims the project is open source on GitHub, but the actual download link does not point to GitHub, and it says the repository has been made private, with the link available only inside the app and expiring after a single use. Multiple users warned in the comments that the software appears to be malware designed to steal account information and crypto wallets, with one user saying antivirus software flagged and deleted it immediately after extraction.
