Three Malaysian banks experience service disruptions on the same day

November 8 – According to Lianhe Zaobao, Malaysia's National Savings Bank (BSN), Bank Islam and Bank Rakyat experienced service problems in succession on November 6, involving interbank withdrawals, mobile apps and website access, raising concerns over whether the banks' systems had been hit by cyberattacks.
Specifically, BSN customers had difficulty making interbank withdrawals through MEPS due to high ATM transaction volumes; Bank Islam's mobile app had compatibility issues with the Android 17 system; and Bank Rakyat's website was temporarily inaccessible. At present, there is no evidence that the three banks were subjected to cyberattacks, nor confirmation that these anomalies are related to one another.
