Cryptocurrency Jobs Triple in September as Job Seeker Numbers Drop

Oct 4, 00:08

On October 4, citing CoinDesk, data from CryptoJobsList shows that the cryptocurrency industry, after experiencing stagnation in the first half of 2026, saw a hiring rebound in September. The total number of job postings surged to 1,241 this month, jumping from 382 in July—an increase of over two times—while the number of hiring companies also recovered to 125, significantly higher than the 77 recorded in August.

In contrast, application interest has cooled. Statistics show that the total number of applications reached 25,700 in July, dropped to 24,631 in August, and fell further to under 20,000 in September. This supply-demand inversion implies that as open positions expand, the competition for professional talent in the crypto sector may be intensifying.

Regarding demand specifics, finance, engineering, and trading rank as the top three hiring categories, with stablecoins, AI, security, and compliance also making the top ten. In terms of technical requirements, familiarity with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana has become the core skill most frequently sought by employers.
