Micron Executive: Next Year's Supply Shortage Will Be Worse Than This Year's

August 11th, Micron Technology's Chief Business Officer Sumit Sadana stated at the 2026 KeyBanc Technology Leadership Forum that the company's business is on a "great" trajectory. The financial performance continues to be "excellent."

Sumit Sadana indicated that recently the demand signals from customers have been strengthening continuously, and it is expected that the industry conditions will remain very tight, projected to persist beyond 2027. Sumit Sadana believes that the supply tightness in 2027 will exceed this year's, as the "demand growth is outstripping the industry-level 2027 supply growth" that is forming.
