Tether MDK gains support from 15 industry participants to advance mining infrastructure interoperability and AI automation.

Oct 24, 20:00

October 24 - Tether announced that 15 industry participants, including mining farm operators, ASIC manufacturers, and mining pools, have committed to jointly building and maintaining integrations with its Mining Development Kit (MDK). MDK is an open-source framework designed to enhance interoperability between different mining infrastructures and support AI-driven automation.

Participating companies will build and maintain MDK Worker adapter components, converting their existing interfaces for hardware, mining pools, or systems into a unified interface. Enterprises do not need to replace their existing technology or surrender control of their systems, and can choose which functions to expose through open interfaces.

Once adapted, developers can build applications, monitoring systems, or AI Agents on MDK without having to develop separate integrations for each equipment manufacturer and mining pool. Tether stated that this will provide a foundation for cross-vendor device monitoring, fault identification, performance optimization, and future autonomous operations and maintenance, while reducing redundant development work and dependence on a single vendor.
